Travelling to Mount Kailash can be an exhausting and rewarding experience, as the climb to the mountain is quite steep and really hard while the surrounding peaks and nature’s beauty as a whole can provide you with some defining moments. On Foot
While taking up the Kailash Mansarovar yatra, you can choose from four given routes which will involve covering the distance by foot and travelling through jeeps or cars. These are the only modes of internal travel present in this region as the hilly terrain does not support any other mode of travel.

While taking up the Kailash Mansarovar yatra, you can cover the entire distance on foot, as this is what many pilgrims do during the length of their pilgrimage. You can also opt for jeeps or cars, and these will be available for rent from one of the rental agencies available in the region. Opting for jeeps or cars from such rental agencies will cost your around Rs 500 to 700 per day.

Helicopter
You can also opt for a helicopter ride through the yatra, and this is one of the most expensive options. This will cost you around Rs 1700 to 2500.
